Italian heritage sportswear brand Ellesse has released their SS21 collection showcasing sophisticated and contemporary pieces for the summer months. For SS21 the apparel and footwear offering brings to life the stylistic, technical, and cultural crossover between tailoring and sportswear. The collection delivers key pieces that champion Servadio’s design vision and tell the story of modern tailored streetwear. Three key stories make up the men’s and women’s collections – Court Couture, Court Racer, and Court Lines.
The Court Couture story is the brand’s fashion forward offering for the season. Celebrating carefully crafted tailored silhouettes, unexpected yet considered colour placement and delicate design features. Court Couture is comprised of refined pieces that fuse on and off-court style. The story celebrates sportswear’s current influence on contemporary tailoring, and the lasting influence of Italian design traditions in the fashion world.
Court Lines is the second story in the collection and has been aesthetically inspired by the lines and colour of the court and street. Archive references throughout the story play with stripes, colour-blocking, and shape framing across apparel pieces. Championing ellesse’s tennis roots, Court Lines incorporates colour and attitude along with the precision and craft of tailoring.
The Court Racer story is made up of performance inspired pieces enthused by movement and highlighting the energy of sport through dynamic lines, and flowing shapes that curve to the form of the body. Designs across both men’s and women’s apparel are complimented with graphic applications of colour, subtle branding and performance call outs through technical meshes and reflective accents.
